Victor Kim

All I have to say is I'm very impress how my one post of Victor Kim is the most viewed on my personal blog! I just posted it less than a month ago!!!!!

Wow!!!!!!

I am very impress. I know I don't post links to my personal blog much and I have 4 blogs in all - Indian cinema blog, Asian cinema blog, Hmong blog, and this one - my personal blog.

In general, movies is my passion...along with music. With that, I love to watch dancing.

Besides his dancing (ahem I love Quest Crew and ABDC), Victor really attracts me with his personality on his YouTube channel and personal blog. The man can sing and play instruments. Gotta love him.

Here are just a few more photos of him that I love.

Tidbits of July holidays

I thought this was so cute and  had to share it here. Got it from an email forward at work.

A National Day is the date on which a nation of non-sovereign country celebrates their nationhood. July has the most days (17) designated as a National Day with August (16) a very close second.

July 1 – 30th National Days – Canada, United States, Venezuela, Nepal, Solomon Islands, Argentina, Mongolia, Kiribati, France, Iraq, Colombia, Belgium, Arab Republic of Egypt, Maldives, Peru, Morocco, Vanuatu.

July 1st is Canada Day (Dominion Day) - Canada Day is a celebration of Canadian nationalism, heritage and pride. Canada became self-governing of July 1st, 1867, with the passage of the British North America Act in the British Parliament. The holiday was originally known as “Dominion Day”. It was changed to Canada Day by the Canadian Parliament of October 27th 1982.

July 4th is the United States of America Independence Day, and the birthday of our nation. On this day, we celebrate and enjoy the freedom that comes with the event that made this day so special. Thomas Jefferson is the author of the Declaration of Independence. He led a committee that crafted the declaration between June 11 – 28, 1776. Jefferson and other discontented representatives from the thirteen colonies voted and approved it on July 4th, 1776. The document declared freedom for the 13 colonies from British rule. The Declaration of independence was not signed by all representatives until August, 1776. To make it official, John Hancock, President of the Continental Congress signed it. Now, can anyone guess where the saying “put your John Hancock on it” came from!?!

Did you know… The U.S. and Canada share the largest un-defended border in the world?

July 26th the Americans with Disabilities Act Signed in the US. This day celebrates the 1990 signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which provides for reasonable accommodation in work situations and standards for physical accessibility to buildings and public transportation. The act was amended in 2008 in favor of broad coverage of individuals.

July 30th is the United Nation (UN) International Day of Friendship. During the sixty-fifth session of the General Assembly of the United Nation, 30 July was unanimous designated as International Day of Friendship, following a petition of several countries in the context of the UN Culture of Peace Agenda. The target of this day is to promote the international understanding, the respect for diversity and a culture of peace, between peoples, countries, cultures and individuals.

Some fun stuff you may not have known about July:

There are 20 days dedicated to food, also a Parents Day, Father-in-Law Day, Cousins Day, Mutt’s day and Cow Appreciation Day. Every day in the month is designated as a “DAY” except for the 16th.

The Month of July is National Blueberry month, Anti-Boredom month, Cell Phone Courtesy month, Hot Dog month and last but not least National Ice Cream Month!

Butterfly Award

The lovely Nkauj Hmoob Chubby nominated me for this award, which is so sweet cause I hardly post much on here like I used to :(

However, I will send a shout out to her cause I think it's cool. At least, I know someone is still reading my Random Thoughts and Rants! :D

She is too sweet because her blog is awesome filled with lots of photos, not just photos you find on the net, but photos she actually took. I love her love and inspiration of makeup and photography. Plus she's also a Hmong chick like me :D

So the rules for this award is as follows:

Link it back to the one who sent it to you and then pass it on to 7 people.
PS - I'm not going to pass on to 7 people because I don't know who follows my blog but Nkauj Hmoob Chubby

Also, I have to write 15 random things about myself.
PS - I've written random stuff bout me but will try not to repeat it
I have many intros of myself, depending on which blog, check out my Indian Cinema blog and Hmong blog to get a different intro.
Or other posts I've done here...

1.) I rather work than stay home because I get bored easily and hate household chores! Thankfully I have a wonderful hubby :D

2.) I love to cook and try new ethnic cuisines. Once I find a dish I like, I go online and try to find recipes so I can make it at home!

3.) I rather be cold than hot. I hate being sweaty. When I was younger, I used to love it. My perfect temperature is 50 degrees. I love the sun, I hate the humidity.

4.) My calves are huge and I hate it. Plus it also doesn't help that my ankles are small :(

5.) I love Mentos, anything mint...but I have to stop buying it cause I eat it like nothing.

6.) I am so in love with Quest Crew! Best Dance Crew. Ever.

7.) I don't think I will ever dress "my age." Whatever that means. I will continue to dress cute and shop in stores like Forever 21 and Charlotte Russe.

8.) My hair hasn't been dyed in over 2 years. However, I recently learned about coloring hair without damaging it and it's temporary. I will try :D

9.) I've never had a pedicure before.

10.) I still look for a new job. Everyday.

11.)  Everyday, I still take my multi-vitamin cause I don't eat right.

12.) I tried to go vegetarian again but failed. I don't think I could ever do it again. I love banh mi too much now.

13.) I hate taking photos because I hate how I look in them. I take around 40 photos and there's only 1 of myself that I will like.

14.) I need a new style. I've gotten too comfortable with the way I look. I'm just so boring and casual now but do like to step it up when I go out.

15.) I've been making myself learn to love to eat more veggies that are good for me, want to eat them raw instead of cook.
