Day 10: A picture of the cast from your favorite show

30 Day Blog/Photo Challenge: Day 10

Day 10 was originally - Who do you see yourself marrying in the future....but I am married and decided to use this instead.

Overall, I hate tv shows. I get bored after the 3rd or 4th season because the tired of the overplayed storylines.

Right now, I'm watching Nikita but it's new. Let's see how it goes.

Growing up, I always gave up on a tv show. From Beverly Hills 90210 to Melrose Place to Charmed, I couldn't watch more than 4 seasons. I don't count Save By The Bell.

So I'm thinking of Asian tv shows aka "dramas."
Why?
Because they actually end after one season!
Most are no more than 16-20 episodes, some may have a few or more.

My answer is IRIS.

I have never loved a show so much! Many people argue with me about how it should end. All I have to say is that it ended the way it did, just because....

I wrote about it in my Asian cinema blog here :D

And when Siri asked us Tweeters about a remake in mind for Charan-Bunny, I chose Iris and my dreamcast.

Day 9: A picture of a person that has gotten you through the most

30 Day Blog/Photo Challenge: Day 9

I would be lying if I didn't include my husband in this post. I tried my best to think of someone else but there is no one else who had so much faith and love for me. He believes in me so much, more than anyone I ever know.

One time, I overheard him talking to his younger brother on the phone. He was telling his brother his love for me and how much I meant to him. Till this day, I have never told him I overheard him...I can never doubt his love ever again.

Day 8: A picture that makes you laugh

30 Day Blog/Photo Challenge: Day 8

Since I'm a day late, I'm posting twice.

Every time I see this pic, I laugh so much. It's about a guy who posted an ad to sell furniture online.

Do you see why I think it's so funny? :D

Day 7: A picture of someone or something that made the biggest impact on you

30 Day Blog/Photo Challenge: Day 7

Being pregnant!! Seriously.

When I got pregnant the first time with my son, my life changed drastically.

I was a college student and chose to be a stay-at-home mom. My husband busted his butt of working to support us. Hubby and I didn't have financial support from both of our parents. Through it all, we did it and are still together :)

Both of my kids have changed my life

Day 3: A picture of you and your friend

30 Day Blog/Photo Challenge: Day 3

My friend Bonni & me with her daughter Marly
Photo taken January 2009

Bonni and I have been friends since high school. She is two years younger than me. She was the new girl in school and became friends with my sister first since they are both the same age. However, with time, she became one of my closest friends. My sister got married at a young age. Bonni and I became close after high school and still manage to talk and hang out occassionally. I love her.

Day 2: A picture of you and the person you have been closest with the longest

30 Day Blog/Photo Challenge: Day 2

I tried my hardest not to include family members because I'm not close to anyone of them. None. Nada. Not even my parents.

Then I thought about some of my girl friends but because of time, we have grown apart. Even though I still talk to many of them, it's not the same anymore.

My husband is my best friend. I've known him since I was 16-years-old. Therefore, it's been almost two decades since we first met.

This pic was taken in March 2008 at Minnehaha Falls. Yes, even Georgia has a Minnehaha Falls, not only does Minnesota :D

Day 1: A recent photo and 15 facts

30 Day Blog/Photo Challenge: Day 1

Photo taken Saturday, March 19, 2011, before heading off to a high school friend, Linda's, wedding. My friend, Jennifer, did my makeup and hair for fun. I didn't expect her to do it. She's too sweet and beautiful. If anyone is interested, she has MySpace and Twitter.

PS - I did a 25 Random facts about me here but will try not to say the same thing on this post :D

1.  I have not dyed my hair in almost 2 years...so whatever color that you think my hair is...it's all cause of the sun, hair products, and blow drying did to my hair.

2.  When I really like a particular dish, I try my best to learn how to make it. Fail or not, at least I attempted. My next dish I want to learn to make are naan and bubble tea.

3.  Having uneven eyelids is one reason why I hate putting on makeup and give up easily on.

4. Since I'm always stressing about bills, I have taken up two jobs now.

5. I have given up on drinking any kinds of sodas this year. I stopped drinking dark carbonated drinks, such as Coke and Pepsi for two decades but just recently given up Sprite, Mountain Dew, Fanta, etc.

6. A few years ago, I became vegetarian for a whole year! My iron was low and my doctor told me to eat more meat.

7. Beef - I dislike the taste ever since I was a little girl. I don't like anything beef.

8. I have four holes in my ears for earrings. The two standard ones I got when I was a baby. The other two, I did myself in high school because I thought was cool and my parents wouldn't let me get them :D

9. Lately, I've been addicted to Groupons, trying to save but end up buying so much just to save,  hehe.

10. My favorite color is still green. It has been since I was kid. It still is as an adult. Just because my favorite color is green, doesn't mean I have to have clothing that is green either.

11. At times, I still wonder what I want to be when I grow up. Seriously. I am just content and want to be happy. Career-wise.

12. The people who tell me that my daughter looks like me, probably say that because they have not seen my sister-in-law. Plus I think most people just say that because I think my daughter is beautiful. She looks more Cambodian than Hmong.

13. Never had a wedding due to conflicts on the Hmong and Cambodian different points of view so hubby and I just said, forget it. Save money. So we got "married" the Asian way. However, we have had our legal paperwork for a while now.

14. Even till this day, my hubby tells me he loves me. He often calls me his "goddess" and I am still deeply in love with him.

15. Social networking - I love it. I believe I'm an advance user of the Internet. From making my own fan sites of my fave Indian celebrities to online blogging to Facebook, I have met so many cool people on the net, who which I have even met in "real" life.

Isa Knox White Symphony

Over the weekend, I went to Assi (International supermarket, Korean own) to do some grocery shopping.

As I was walking into the store, the Korean lady in the front gave me a sample. Looks like lotion. Okay. I just dropped it in my bag, not thinking anything.

This morning, I was going through my bag and saw the sample.

WTH? The back of the sample was in written in Korean, so I do some research...

A new concept in skin whitening with ampule essence. One essence bottle will deliver an ampule's powerful and targeted whitening effect without shininess or stickiness. Highly enriched formula will apply bursting with moistness and quickly and deeply absorb into skin.

Hmmmm...no thanks. I know I'm a dark skinned Hmong chick but I love my natural tan year round...
