Car scammers!

While looking for a used car to replace the totaled car, which I wrote about yesterday, I cannot believe the amount of crooks out there.

This scam reminds me of the Nigeria e-mails!

Check these e-mails I got from people. I was interestsed in the cars....
Probably all fake names.

Thank you for being interested in buying my 1998 TOYOTA CAMRY, automatic transmission, 116 500 miles, VIN: 4T1BF22K7WU058993. It is in EXCELLENT condition; the body and paint are great, no scratches and no dents; the interior is clean; it has never been involved in an accident; the title is clear.

I have recently moved to Portugal. I was hoping to take my car here but when I found out how much shipping and registration would be I've changed my mind. As I'm unable to travel in the near future and I don't have anyone in the US to help me with the sale I decided to make this transaction through eBay. I believe this protects both buyer and seller and it's the right way to do this.

The final price is $1,450. If you decide to buy this car or need further information please get back to me as soon as possible.

Thank you,
Hannah

Hello,

The shipping arrangements have already been made before moving to Portugal. The car is at the shipping company in Tennessee, ready to go anywhere in the United States. It will arrive with all the papers and documents required for registration and the keys. The clear title and the bill of sale will be already signed by me.

The final price you will have to pay is $1,450. The payment will be done through eBay. They will act as a third party in this transaction. You will send the money to eBay and as soon as the payment is confirmed they will notify me to proceed with the shipping. I will ship the car, you will receive it and will have 5 days for inspection, both the car and the paperwork. During all this time eBay will hold the money. If you are satisfied with the car and decide to keep it you inform eBay about this and they will release the money to me. If the car is not as advertised and decide not to keep it eBay will refund you the money, no questions asked, and shipping back the car will be my concern. I think this is more than fair for the both of us. Please take into consideration that I will get paid only after you receive the car and make sure everything is as agreed.

If you agree with these terms and you have the money, send me your full name and the address where you want the car to be delivered and I will initiate the transaction with eBay. You will receive all the transaction details from them.

I will appreciate an answer as soon as possible. Also, feel free to ask me any question you may have.

Thank you,
Hannah

The car is still available for sale and it is in a good condition .
Reply as soon as possible.

The car is located in our warehouse in NORTH CAROLINA, Due to low sales in georgia.
And we have free shipping agent that will deliver the car to your address within 2 hours after payment confirmation.
Get back with your full name and address for the delivery of the car to your address.
Best Regards.

Hello,

2003 Toyota Camry Automatic with 67,000 miles is located in Forest City, PA and is still available. Run great. It has a clear title ready to be signed and notarized on your name. I have the pictures hosted on the net and you can see them at: http://s1233.photobucket.com/albums/ff392/camry1112/?start=all

The price I'm asking is $2,840 including shipping costs. There are no other costs regarding this transaction. The transaction will be closed only through a 3rd party and this way we will both be protected. My time is limited due to my job in the army so I decided to use a service from eBay Motors. To begin the transaction I just need your consent and a clear decision if you want to buy this or not and then I will be able to get this started. After that you will receive a self explanatory invoice from eBay Motors that will tell you all the details you need to know about our transaction and also will give you the choice to proceed or not with the deal so basically you can decide then if you want to buy or not my car by simply answering to them. The car will be shipped insured to your location with DAS and you will have 5 days for inspection.

Thank you,
Daniel Hinssen

The names used for the author of such scam are frequently names of minors, years away from driving a car. Forward these kind of emails to the police, group for ID theft!
