Minnehaha Falls - 10/25/2009

This past Sunday, took the kids to Minnehaha Falls in Tallulah, GA. Don't get it confused with the famous waterfalls in MN.

It is the most beautiful waterfall, to me. Trust me, I've seen plenty.

Do you see my son?

Washington Farms - 10/24/2009

This past Saturday, Ze & I took the kids to the Pumpkin Batch, Petty Zoo, & Corn Maze @ Washington Farms in Athens, GA. They had fun!!

Oh, what a feeling!!

I put on my jeans this morning. It's been several months since I worn this particular jean.

Besides the jeans feeling loose, I found $10 bill in the pocket.

Yah, made my day

Whole grain Asian noodles

Yesterday after work, I went grocery shopping at this Asian wholesale place. I decided to buy some noodles for the family. Hey, it's cold season and my kids love noodles, the Asian ones. As I was looking for the usual kind, Mama Pork & Mama Chicken, I found that Mama also has the whole grain version. I bought some too.

When I went home to cook, I decided to taste this whole grain version. It was good. I like. Guess I will eat whole grain noodles. I have been buying brown Jasmine rice for myself.

Next, I will try whole grain spaghetti noodles.

Oh yeah, I went grocery shopping to buy stuff for pho. Even though I do NOT like pho (you read that right!), I still make it for my family. I found some pho noodles that was the brand HMONG SISTERS. I took a picture of it and will upload it tonight.

Am I the *only* Asian person who do NOT like eating pho?

5 years

Wow!! I was quite surprise.

My boss gave me a plaque with my name. 5 years of service with the company.

Okay, why am I surprised?

It will be 5 years on November 1st but I did get laid off for 6 months in early 2006. So that's where my surprise is.

I didn't think that they would have counted that 6 months hiatus.

Actually, I can't believe I've been here this long!!!

Usually after two years, I get bored and find other opportunities. However, I'm staying here because I have a plan already.

With the plaque, I get to choose a prize, which I haven't yet. I haven't even looked at the catalog yet, hahaha.

ETA - I just ordered. I ordered a digital speaker system

I want a new camera

When I look at blogs with beautiful pictures, I want a new camera. Seriously.

The vibrant, vivid colors are what is capturing me. I won't need much photoshop either. The lighting of the pictures are well-balanced and makes me want to get a new camera - a DSLR.

However, I don't want to carry a huge camera all the time either.

The Pro's and Con's of everything.....

Photos I uploaded last night

Last night, I decided to upload the photos I had and share with everyone on Blogger-land.

Just in case anyone missed them

Turkish Festival - October 18, 2009

Yesterday, decided to go to the Turkish festival.

Honestly, it was a bit boring. Maybe cause I had my expectations a bit too high. Most of these cultural events, compared to the Hmong New Years, are small. When the Hmong New Years come up, I will post pics.

For now, here are pics.
